“The ethnik necklace that will illuminate your face!”
The necklace is made of a disc of sisal woven by hand by artisans in Rwanda, it is mounted on a brass frame carved by hand in Kenya. Sisal is a natural fiber derived from the leaves of the “agave sisalana” cactus; it is often used in Rwanda for the weaving of baskets, rugs and has also been used in traditional architecture.

Our brass is made from old padlocks that are melted at a high temperature and then poured into a mold, the sample is then polished through a process called electroplating where a coating is applied to the item to prevent the brass from changing color. The piece is suspended from a genuine leather string with two adjustable knots to adjust the necklace to any length of your choice.
